Welcome to July!

**This post is part of the Get Real series. Please remember that this is meant as a learning community. We know that many of you are passionate about what you do and we want you to express that, just please do so in a way that will be an encouragement and aid to others making a transition. We want this to be a “safe space” for participants to learn. For that reason, we reserve the right to delete any comments that are not handled in this manner.

Now that we’ve settled from the excitement of menu day here we can catch another wave of excitement with a new month in the Get Real Series!

I’d like to take a moment to thank our guest blogger for June, Wardeh of GNOWFLINS, for providing us with a wealth of information on dairy and the impacts on our bodies and the environment. Not to mention, how to make your own cultured dairy products! What did you make? We helped you also find alternatives to the conventional butter and cheeses as well. We also cracked open the facts on eggs.

Partnering with us this month is Stephanie Langford from Keeper of the Home. If you follow her blog already

Keeper of the Homeyou know she is an advocate for all things real. She’ll be helping us understand the differences in good fats and bad fats this month. And also showing us her market secrets for keeping real with a real budget!

If you are new to our challenge, please start by pledging your commitment to join us for this month and the rest of the year! Head over to our Facebook Fan Page and click on the Get Pledged app on the left hand side. If you have already pledged, you will be receiving an email with information on re-pledging (with minimal information to fill out). We are taking this series seriously, and we are helping you keep track of where you have been and where you are going! Remember by taking the simple pledge to Get Real, you are entered to win great prizes from our sponsors and guest bloggers! You’ve done so great so far, and things are only going to get better and more fun as we keep trekking through the dog days of summer!
