Meal Plan Monday: Summer Fun Edition

So last week I was testing you a bit. I didn’t post a Menu Plan Monday. 95% of it was because we were busy having family fun, I forgot and decided, “oh well”. But 5% was to see if anyone really even cared. It turns that at least one reader does as she emailed me to ask if I was still going to post it because she missed it. So, they say that only something like 1-3% of readers actually comment so I estimate that there are at least 6,000 more of you that thought the same thing and didn’t write. Am I right? At any rate, I still plan on continuing, I just took a week off, thanks for noticing! 🙂 Well, Summer is in full swing around these parts. And with summer comes a busier schedule. How is that even possible? Last week and this week are a bit crazy for us but things look free and clear after that. So if I can just get through this week. My hubby is out of town and so we are going to be eating a lot of little meals and leftovers this week, nothing too exciting. I just don’t enjoy cooking as much when he isn’t here to enjoy it too. But I am going to try and make some freezer meals for a friend so I will link to those below so you can see what I am doing. And, of course, I always list the toddler meals. By the way, I have a kids’ meals ebook coming out later this week that you are NOT GOING TO WANT TO MISS! Stay tuned! **Don’t forget to check out my Secret Recipe Club recipe and check out this great Father’s Day ebook, The Dad’s Playbook, that I highly recommend.

  1. I don’t get too excited about what happens in “electronic land.” One never knows if something has not been posted, got lost….. 🙂
    Thanks for the menus.

  2. I don’t keep track when you post but do read them as I get them:) I mostly use your sight for inspiration, hoping one day to do a “once a month” cooking day. I love the yogurt burritos and just made a batch of crockpot yogurt yesterday! Always looking for cheap, easy, kid friendly ideas for the whole family!

  3. Oh, and you might want to consider listing the “how to make yogurt” under both “slow cooking” and “yogurt”. I had to do a search to find it:) Just a thought.

  4. I like reading your menu link on orgjunkie! I don’t always have time to look at all of them, but I so enjoy it!

  5. I didn’t realize you didn’t post until you posted that you didn’t post last week 🙂 But I read every week when I see it pop up on my FB feed! I love to see your toddler lunches and get inspiration for meals! I feed 2 toddlers every day, so we often get into a rut of the same 3 meals or so… it is great to see what toddler meals you use every day!

  6. I didn’t have a chance to read last week’s but I like reading your plans. It’s nice to piggy back off someone else’s ideas and get new ones!

  7. Well, I’m just now really starting to get into your site, or I might have noticed. 🙂 I just have to say that you have been inspiring me! I never thought OAMC could be very easy, and was probably more work than I wanted to do. But then I saw your menus and your instructions, and you make it sound so much easier than what I’ve seen before! Thanks for the tips and menus! You’re site is one of the main places I go for food related planning, and recipes. Thanks for all you do!

    1. Thanks and I am glad that you are enjoying it. That is our hope, that we take some of the hardest work out of it (other than the cooking). Thank you for your encouraging words.
