We just completed the August OAMM (OAMC) menu with GREAT success! We ended up making these meals for $2.53 an entree for a family of 4! This is a great money saving menu. Come see how we did and how you can to!

We love when you, the readers, share your cooking stories. With the summer coming to a close I am finding that many of you are planning on doing the August menu. So there should be plenty of stories to share. Come on over and link up after you cook.

We just completed another Once A Month Mom cooking session (OAMC) so we have to get to eating more freezer meals. My freezer is starting to get backed up again. Such a good problem to have, but a problem.

This past weekend I had the opportunity to participate in a blogger day at the Longaberger Basket Homestead. Fortunately for me it was an Ohio bloggers day which meant many of my favorite women (aka Big Deal Moms; twitter hashtag:…

Do you have lots of tomatoes turning in your garden or friends/family members giving you lots of ripe tomatoes from their garden? If you are like me you can’t possibly eat them fast enough. One thing you can do is freeze them for the future. Here is how.

My goodness it is going to be another BUSY week for me. I am hoping to take it one day at a time though. I can’t believe it is time to do another Once A Month Mom cooking session. That and the little man’s birthday make for one exciting week. It should be a fun one though.

This week marks a bit of a slow down for us. However, looking at our menu, it is hard to tell. We have a lot going on in the evenings that interferes with dinner but it is SO much less hectic this week. I am attempting to use up some of my freezer meals because a new months cooking day is quickly approaching.

I’m dreaming up this menu plan BEFORE I go to BlogHer in the hopes that I will stick with it and that having something planned will work in my favor. I am certain that I will be tired and worn out and want to go easy on myself this week.

Well, BlogHer is here! This week is a whirlwind of a week as I prepare to leave the boys at home. I, of course, have some things squirreled away in the refrigerator which at least helps with the food prep.

Every now and again I throw the terms “flash freezing” around. I often get questions about how exactly you “flash freeze” items.

I’ve got to say, I am having MPM block! I sat down to write the post and literally said to my husband, “I don’t know what I want to cook this week.” Really, I have NO CLUE. I think I am in a “funk” because I can’t eat red meat. And when I say can’t, I mean that I get very sick (pregnancy) whenever I do. Even though I crave it. So it has been a little challenging for me lately.

Briana is one of the great women I am going to have the privilege to spend time with in a little over a week. I am so looking forward to BlogHer (more coming soon on my decision to attend) in Chicago. Head on over to Bargain Briana for a few of my suggestions, to read my great post, and to see what bargains she is talking about today.
