Happy Banana Bread Day!
Did you even know that such a day existed? Who decides that it should be a national holiday? I don’t know the answer to that, but after a little bit of research, I did learn that the the first mention of Banana Bread in a cookbook was published during the Great Depression. That isn’t surprising, as overly ripe bananas do very well in Banana Bread. It is good to be resourceful and not throw out food, so put those ripe bananas to good use and celebrate National Banana Bread with us.
We have several recipes to choose from so I’m sure something will appeal to you. (No pun intended)!
